Introduction
This overview of the relevant literature thoroughly discusses the applications of phase change materials, including solar collectors, solar stills, solar ponds, solar air heaters, and solar chimneys. This article designs a high-altitude border guard post that can fully utilize the heat absorbed by solar collectors to continuously store thermal energy during the day and stably release heat at night. The advantageous characteristic of PCMs is their low melting point, facilitating efficient heat storage and retrieval through latent heat of vaporization. To clarify future research directions, this study first analyzes the heat transfer process of solar-thermal conversion and then reviews solar-thermal phase change composites for high-efficiency harnessing solar energy.
